Does anyone know anything about the neighborhood Tributary in Douglasville? Are the schools good? Crime? Surrounding area? Also, what would the commute be to midtown during rush hour? Finally, are there any other neighborhoods under 500k with they type of features that tributary has?

Default Living in Tributary, working in Midtown

I've lived in Tributary since Dec. 05 and have been very pleased. The homes are beautiful, and there's a real sense of community - lots of activities for adults and for the kids too.

The Douglas County public schools are decent. They have at least one charter school (K-8) nearby, with another to open soon, so that makes for a nice alternative. I feel very safe in the area - I don't perceive crime as an issue. I work in Midtown on Peachtree, and the commute is 35-45 minutes - not bad for metro Atlanta. There is another subdivision called Brookmont off of Chapel Hill road that seems to be nice, and a couple of neighborhoods in South Fulton - but these homes are more extravagent, and I believe they are priced higher.

Let me know if you have more questions! megdyoung@yahoo.com

I actually live in the Tributary community, I moved there from Duluth to shorten my commute to downtown, now I work in real estate so I don't do the commute anymore, but my wife still works in midtown and during rush hour it takes her about 30-35 minutes...
