As I have posted in the past, my wife and I will be relocating to Atlanta next year and looking on the Northside to put down roots.

So what is the typical commute from Alpharetta to Buckhead (Lenox Rd)? I know it depends on what time you leave, accidents, etc. Let's just say I have to be at work at 8 AM, what time do I have to leave the house if I live in the center of Alpharetta? ON AVERAGE?

Thanks in advance

If you like to play things safe, 6:30.

I would say 7:00. Without traffic, it is about 30 minutes. Little less or more depending on what part of Alpharetta and if you're close to 400.

The problem with waiting until 7 is that the school buses start rolling then. Like I said, 6:30 to plaqy things safe. We are in Milton, and by the time we can get to 400 it would be a 45 minute drive without traffic.

OK, I've only been gone 15 months(after 28 years in ATL) but I can't believe TWO posts mention the Alpharetta to Buckhead commute using the phrase "without traffic".

"I don't care who you are, that's funny".
