My husband and I are going to see The Color Purple at the Fox Theater on Saturday afternoon. We are looking to find a nice restaurant for dinner afterwards. Ideally in the same area, and in walking distance from The Fox.
Any suggestions? a nice restaurant, but not super expensive. we are open to any type of cuisine.

Thanks!

Restaurants Atlanta | Yelp

Fox is at Peachtree & Ponce, so just look for the ones that are a few blocks away. There are lots of options.

Gladys and Ron's Chicken and Waffles is a block or so away. I love that place.

I had a wonderful dinner literally right across the street from The Fox at The Livingston. You will need reservations.

I second the Livingston- can't beat the location if you're going to the Fox. FYI- I had two very enjoyable and delicious breakfasts there this summer. Nice outdoor dining.

I live in the area and you have many places to choose from at all different price points.

Baronda - Good italian place one block north of the fox on Peachtree, also another place right next door.
Livingston - New upscale mentioned by others
Top Flr - A few blocks down Ponce, right next to Papi's
Spaghetti Factory - Down Ponce a few blocks. (Also a sushi place and Thai place right there)

Continue north down peachtree past the Melting Pot and you'll hit a serious of different places. For a budget Little Azio or Fresh 2 Order are not bad.

Venture one block down to Juniper and around 5th street you'll see a cluster of good places.

Baronda is my suggestion. Reasonable prices, nice layout, in the middle of everything.

I work across the street from Livingston's and have found it very inconsistent. Eno, which is at 5th and P'tree and therefore a 10 minute walk (max) from the Fox, is perhaps the best restaurant in the area. Entrees run in the low to mid-20s. Terrific wine list, too.
