I will be moving to the Atlanta area this summer and am looking for a nice apartment. I'm 24 and am a forensic scientist. I will be working at Fort Gillem in Forest Park. I don't necessarily have to be in the city but I want to be where there is some action. I would like younger crowd but nothing too "college-y". Also, I have a dog so a place near a park or in a complex with a dog park would be ideal. Any suggestions would be welcomed!

PS: Would Forest Park be a good place to live?

NOPE!! What is the price range of the apartment you are seeking and how far are you willing to travel to work? It sounds like the area you are seeking (with a Dog Park) would be areas in down or midtown (I think Piedmont Park is dog friendly) but that is about 30 to 35 minutes from Forest Park. You would be traveling south, so it would be against the flow of traffic.

I would like to stay in the $700-$1000 price range. I am willing to travel no more than around 30 minutes each way.
