I am moving to Roswell, and I will be commuting to Downtown, near Five Points. I am really scared of what I have read about the commutes in Atlanta-Metro. How long is the commute? I may have the option to adjust my schedule to 10am. If I leave at 10am, what would the commute be?

If you can do that, you should actually have a fairly easy commute of about 35-40 minutes most days. Maybe a little less if you live near GA-400 access.

If you're that scared, save your nerves. Take GA 400 South to MARTA's North Springs Station and ride the train to Five Points. Contrary to popular belief it's relatively safe.

I used to live about 2 minutes off exit 6, which is 1 exit south of Roswell. If I left the house by 7:15am, it'd only take me 25 minutes to get to the Georgia State area. If I left after 7:30, it would take 10 minutes just to get to the highway, and about 45 minutes total.

About the North Springs MARTA, I always got annoyed when I entered the station off 400 South and I would have to leave the station onto 400 North. Does anyone know if they still do this, or do we now have the option of taking the local exit instead, because I'd often want to just get a bite to eat nearby after work.
