I live in Gwinnett Village and I'm ready to bail out of here. Problem is I'm not real familiar with other areas of Atlanta. I'm looking for a place with good schools, lots of parks for the kids that have recreation leagues with some diversity. Any suggestions? I work in the downtown area so anything within a 20-30 mile radius from downtown works for me. Thank you for your help!

Have you checked out Snellville, Lilburn and Grayson? Brookwood Cluster of schools is a Fantastic and there are great parks in Snellville. Lilburn has Parkview Cluster also a very good school. All three areas have great parks and lots of activies for children.

I second the Snellville (or Loganville) area. Snellville is quite spread out so there are areas that are a pretty easy jump onto I 20. A lot of parks and things to do here also. I live quite close to Lenora Park and we have some gorgeous homes and neighborhoods and everyone is so friendly.

What is exactly gwinnett village? do you mean the entire 30096? if so, why do you want to move out?

The Northern tip is Exit 104.

Basically, anything hugging I-85 from 104 down to 99 is getting rather dicey at times, with Jimmy Carter being worse than most.

Starting to remind me a little of Newark, NJ

yep, GACS is within Gwinnett village. But the GACS is like fort and it is surround by giant wall. I image that it should be very safe within its campus.
