I'm moving down to Atlanta in the next few months, and i've settled on the Vinings/Cumberland Mall area. What are some good apartments around there with relatively easy access to I-75 or I-285?

Thanks in advance for your help.

The apartments on Cumberland Parkway (Magnolia Vinings and the one across the street from it) look very nice and are convenient to I-285 and within a couple of miles of I-75. I would try to stay away from the apartments on top of Mt Wilkerson as I have heard bad things about those. Post Crest and Post Spring also look pretty nice.

I lived in Magnolia Vinings for about 2 years and really liked it there. Be wary of being too close to 285 though (towards the back of the property) as it can be noisy. Also, you can hear the train across the street as a slight rumble (I was right across the street from it, over the pool) but I actually didn't mind the noise. The pool is great in the summer time, and they even remodeled it right after I left....a lot of parties and good times. Pretty cheap too....the one across the street (was a Gables or something?) was much higher priced.

My now-wife/then-g/f lived in a place called Paces Station, which is on a side road across from Sunrise Living retirement home. It was an older complex and it kind of showed, but huge floorplans for very low price. She is pretty picky and didn't mind living there....it's pretty wooded, though, so bugs can be a pain in the summer.

Yeah, really anything along Cumberland Parkway (30339) is nice enough, and I'm pretty picky about cleanliness and safety.

Thanks, I'll check those out.

How is the Paces Ferry corridor?

And is there a difference between the East and West side of 285 with regards to safety and general upkeep of the area?

Thanks again.
