We are a young family moving to the Kennesaw/Acworth area to work at KSU. We'd like to live in the area that feeds into the new Allatoona High School. Does anyone know what subdivisions, neighborhoods we should look at? we'd like to buy sometime shortly after August 2008.

Also, what elementary schools will feed into the High School?

Finally, we're looking for solid realtor recommendations.

Any help is much appreciated

Thanks,

Marlene

Check out the Cobb County Schools website at Cobb County School District Home Page. You can also look at Allatoona's website... I didn't see anything on there after a quick glance but if you dug around you might find it. Allatoona High School: Welcome to the Web Home for Allatoona HS (http://tiscobb.typepad.com/ahs/ - broken link)

Surely if you called them they could help you out.

Good luck!!!

Pickett's Mill will feed into the new High School and that will pull students from some of Frey, Lewis and Ford I believe. Durham Middle School. Solid Source Realty is good. Camden Pointe, parts of Brookstone I, will feed into it which are the 2 I know of but I am sure there are plenty more.

The middle schools that will feed into Allatoona High are Durham, McClure, and Awtrey.

The elementary schools that will feed into Allatoona High are Pickett's Mill, Frey, Lewis, and Bullard.

*Keep in mind...about one-third of Durham will feed into Harrison High. McClure will also feed into Kennesaw Mountain High and Harrison. Most of Awtrey will still feed into North Cobb High.

Default thanks for the help, a map

thanks for the replies. they were a lot of help, especially the map. Though, I did read somewhere that the district tends to change boundaries alot.

Our buying price probably maxes out around 200,000. Any other solid realtor suggestions would be appreciated.

We're excited to scope out the area.

Marlene

This district does change boundaries -- a lot -- because it is growing. Keep this in the back of your mind.

Default I have the perfect neighborhood for you! and they offer teacher discount!!

Hello-
My name is Nicholas Cassineri. I am a sales professional for D.R. Horton, Amereica's builder. My community, Cedar Mill, is approximately 5-8 minutes from the new Alllatoona High School off of hwy 92 and Cedarcrest road in Paulding county. Paulding's taxes are significantly cheaper than Cobb county's. Our homes start in the low 200's. We have beautiful ammenities including a olympic size pool, four tennis courts, a playground, and a large clubhouse. We have four standing inventory homes at recently reduced prices and we also have 40+ homesites available for pre-sales. Please let me know of what your specific home needs are such as location, size and price range so that I can provide you with the proper information. I have attached a price inventory sheet that gives a brief description of each home and shows the recent price reductions. Best off all we are offering an additional 2% price reduction for teachers! I would love to provide you with more information and help you find your dream home!

Default Paulding County not in Allatoona HS district

The previous post reads like a commercial advertisement which is not allowed on the forum.

Original poster should note that although the subdivision mentioned is allegedly minutes from Allatoona HS, since it's in a different county, residents there will never attend that school.
