My family and I might be relocating to the Atlanta area sometime this summer from Coral Springs, FL (so. florida-ft. lauderdale area). By the way, it's a beautiful place to live (just expensive), but my husband might be getting transferred. I came across Peachtree City in my search for a safe place to live and it reminds me of Coral Springs. I have two children and education and recreational activities as well as safety, are very important to me. Peachtree City seems to offer that and more. I was just wondering about the racial diversity in the area. We are non-caucasian and have lived in an upper-middle class, racially mixed community here in So. Fl and it has been a great experience. We are looking for that same environment for our next home.

I too moved from S. Fla (Cooper City) a year ago...The question is, where will your husband be transferred to? No use looking at Peachtree City if he was transferred to lets say Alpharetta. Traffic here is down right crazy. Think 95 backed up with accidents every day all day.

Second question is how much do want to spend on housing?

We need to be somewhat close to the airport. As far as housing, we'd spend up to around $350,000. How has your experience been so far? We just want to make sure our 9 year old has a good experience in school.
