They sure seem to much more than you do, and much more than you do for those even more vulnerable in our society, based on their actions and your comments.

Morality matters no matter how much those fixated on nothing but their own money try to make it seem.

No more so than you are parroting thoroughly indefensible self-serving right-wing rhetoric. The difference is that there is a far better chance that someone more vulnerable in society will get a better deal with him than with you.

Indeed. Heath Shuler in NC, too. Many others. The Progressive faction of the Dem party brooks no descent from the party line.

Voted for Zell three times. Zell, father of the Hope scholarship really exposed young Mr Carter's naiveté when he endorsed Gov Deal the last time. Would have voted for Joe had he lined up with McCain.

What, pray tell, is your beef regarding Libertarians? Anything specific or is it simply because they're not Democrats?

They are proud to declare that they make distinctly amoral political decisions. However, despite vapid denials, that means that they ground their politics in self-ratified and self-centered priorities that fit with their current lifestyle rather than abiding moral obligations that they would wish were applied were they to find themselves in the position of those more vulnerable than themselves.

Just think, if the Dems had of run someone who actually lived in and was known by people in the6thDistrict. Someone with accomplishments in business or government they might have just pulled this out getting over the 50% threshold. I doubt the party will be as eager to open their wallet and spend the beaucoup bucks for a 1 on 1 run-off against a Republican in this district. And now the GOP apparatus and money will be behind one candidate instead of fractured among 11.

Precisely. I have a hard time picturing any "libertarian," finding himself homeless and hungry, saying "I don't need help."

The Dems captured 49% of the vote. If ossoff can pickup 5k more votes, then he's got a shot. The odds aren't in his favor, but I still think big money will start to pour in on both sides.

As a lifelong Libertarian, I hereby declare this to be the biggest pile of crap I've ever smelled.

"Libertarianism (Latin: liber, "free") is a collection of political philosophies that uphold liberty as a core principle. Libertarians seek to maximize autonomy and freedom of choice, emphasizing political freedom, voluntary association, and the importance of individual judgment."

See? So simple that even you can understand it. Or are you so busy demonizing those that desire their personal liberties remain intact that you can't take the time to get your head around it?

They got 48% of the vote to be precise.. after dumping over $8.5 million into the race and bringing in the Hollywood big wigs. I will hand it to them, that is an impressive showing for a Dem in that district. But now that it moves to a 2 person race with the GOP pooling all their money and efforts behind one candidate instead of it being fractured among 11, I will predict that last night's showing is the best the Dems will see. The 6th will remain a republican district for the forseeable future.
