Hey guys. Want to see where I should live.

New job in benteen.

I would like a house about 200k. 3 br 2 bath is fine.

No kids.

Yard for dogs with fence allowed.

Commute 30 min driving but would use Marta if available. I have a reliable car.

A bit country or Suburban is preferred. If I have to drive 5 miles to the store, that's ok. Hopefully costco.

Neighborhood safe for walking dogs and for when my elderly mother visits. Parks or walking trails desired.

Schools irrelevant. I'm a 39 yo white male if that factors.

Also what are the state and property taxes like in atl?

Can THIS Be done?

Thank you all!

If so, there's a Costco in Morrow, GA.

Anywhere between there and Stockbridge should be close enough to Benteen.

Others can chime in on the safety factor, guessing it's not too "whorrendous".

For the guys in the state pen? Not too peachy.

For everyone else? A little more pear-shaped...

I'm assuming that's not an endorsement.

There's a development of newer detached single-family homes in the Benteen Park area named "East Village Park". Look there to see if you can find any housing inventory that might be within or near your budget.

Also check around in nearby areas like Grant Park, Ormewood Park, North Ormewood Park, Peoplestown, Summerhill, Capitol View Manor, Capitol View, Pittsburgh, Adair Park, West End, Mechanicsville, Castleberry Hill, East Atlanta Village, Glenwood Park, etc, to see if there might be any housing inventory left within or close to your budget that you might like. The housing inventory in the aforementioned areas will range from older historic homes in need of varying amounts of rehab to newer homes to high-density multi-family developments (townhomes, condos and apartments).
