So today I bought a couple of 1-way Breeze tickets on MARTA.

After I swiped my credit card, the machine did nothing, thought about it a bit, then didn't give me any Breeze cards, but did give me a receipt informing me that it charged my credit card the $7, but only one Breeeze card was issued, and I needed to call a number to get the $3.50 refunded. A couple of things:

1) It actually didn't give me ANY Breeze cards
2) When I called the number, I spent a few minutes going through menus, and finally got a recording saying customer service is open M-F 8a-5p. What a coincidence, those are the same hours that I work, making it difficult to sit on hold waiting for someone to explain the situation to.

I get that technical glitches are going to happen, but at least make the resolution simple.

I'm just going to dispute the amount with my credit card company instead of jumping through MARTA's hoops.

Email custserv@itsmarta.com. I've corresponded with them on a number of occasions and found that the people doing email support are really on top of things.

If you have the time, you could run down to 5-points and go up to the ride-store and chat with them about it. I don't know its hours, but maybe you could get there while on a lunch break or something?

Why didn't you use a Breeze Card, if you don't mind the question.

On a semi-related story, there's one of the machines in Peachtree Center that doesn't read my credit card. I haven't been charged for anything, but it trips me up sometimes and I have to move over to the machine next to it.

I can relate. I bought a card and the card was ineffective. There was no one there to help me as I looked around for help. I made sure I got in though.
