Out of all the cities in Gwinnett, which cities or areas have the least amount of really bad street traffic? Are certain areas worse than others? Certain times of day? Which streets or highways are worse than others? Or is it all bad, all the time?

GA-20, or Buford Drive, is or was HORRIBLE, especially on the weekends as everyone is trying to get to the Mall of GA. There was a Wal-Mart past the Mall and one on Collins Hill. On weekends I'd go to the Collins Hill location so as not to deal with the traffic on GA-20....

Now that the construction widening 20 is largely done, it's not a bad ride at all "most" of the day. You will still have delays down by the mall itself, with a traffic light every 100 feet, or so it seems, but I have noticed a huge difference from a year ago.

You mean 20 and 324?
Ok for now, but wait for the ball park and the 800+ new permits that were issued for 324

With close to 800,000 folks in a 200 sq mile area, there really isn't a low traffic area in Gwinnett

No, you won't find a low traffic area. Perhaps the south side of Snellville towards Centerville. (watch out for the crime though) I would say that the area that comes closest to what you are looking for would be Lilburn. You have highway 29 (Lawrenceville Highway), Killian Hill Road, Indian Trail, and parts of Highway 78 (bad traffic on 78 though). Loganville isn't extremely bad, but it is very quickly (I mean VERY) quickly headed there though.

I agree with Steven, but then I think he lives very near me. I consider where I live my little piece of heaven, but I can go five minutes and be in the thick of things if I need to.

There are back ways to get to the Mall of Ga or the Wal-mart near there. I come up I-85 or 985 depending on where I want to go and scoot around the back side of the mall.

The point here is, there are ways to get around the traffic. If you have to commute every day, arrange your job and home address to minimize that. Other trips to run errands, etc. can be done at times of less traffic, or you can take a longer route with less traffic.
