Default I know I sound like a broken record

but please, if you are building or buying new construction, be very leary of subdivisions and complexes that are not near completion. Clark Howard spoke of this the other day -- in down real estate markets even reputable builders will walk away from stuggling projects.

If you must have new, buy one of the last homes to be built in the neighborhood.

Pulte and Ryland are pretty good. Not as good as Wieland, of course.
