Out of curiosity, I'm wondering how many people are new, existing, and potential future residents. Also feel free to share experiences or details/comments.

Less than 1 year after 15 years in New England, but I have 10 years here previously from '82 - '92, so I'm not a real Atlanta noob, although I feel like it sometimes. Many things have changed enormously in 15 years.

Been here a while over 4 years. With the rapid changes Atlanta is going through I'm sad to say I hope I not here for the 5th year.

When I lived in atlanta about five years ago I loved it so much and wanted to stay but I went to try acting and it did not work so I plan on returning to atlanta this coming summer. Atlanta is somewhere that I know I can have kids and raise them properly. I also loved the shopping in atlanta it just as good as fifth avenue in nyc with all identical stores. Also not only are the houses in atlanta big and beautiful most of the homes are very affordable for the average hardworking man and his family. I have friends who paid like 150 grand for 2500 sq ft homes. Atlanta is so amazing and I can not wait to go back.

I grew up and lived in the Twin Cities for 41 years and change, and I've now lived in the Atlanta metro for a little over three years (my wife and I rented a house in SE Smyrna for 8 months, and have owned a house in Mableton now for 2.5 years).

We came here because I was unemployed and found a good job in the Atlanta area.

I love it down here. The Twin Cites is arguably better at doing some things, but Atlanta is better at doing others, and the trade-offs are interesting to discover and compare.

We're also living in an area that seems to be improving in the long run, not going downhill, and I suspect that has a large impact on my overall outlook.

After watching the Pats/Giants game today, I really wish the Vikings had kept Randy Moss.
