Hello, I am a new poster, but for several months have considered these forums a vital resource .

I have accepted a job in Atlanta (on Ashford-Dunwoody across from Perimeter Mall) to start in January and am currently apartment hunting, trying to get everything settled on that before the Holidays.

I was recommended Archstone Perimeter Park (on Peachtree Dunwoody Road) and was interested in any comments good or bad on that apartment. Also, any recommendations/warnings for other apartment properties in the near the Dunwoody/Perimeter area would be appreciated. I am a young, single girl and am looking for a two-bedroom apartment in the $1000-1300-ish range.

My cousin lives in the Windsor apartments on Ashford Dunwoody and really likes it there. I'd check them all out if you have a chance to come down and take a look. Some complexes are newer than others. I think the Gables is another one right there that people seem to like.

I actually just moved to Dunwoody yesterday and I'm currently at Ashford Park. This place is amazing.

Default Apartment Hunting Advice

My partner and I moved to Atlanta last year. We had a short amount of time to find an apartment and used a rental service called ProMove. They don't charge a fee to the renter. They spent well over an hour with us explaining all of the areas of the city that were convenient for us based on where we worked and gave us a map that mapped out all the communities we picked. We saw several apartments that same day (they called and made appointments for us) and had rented an apartment by the time the weekend was over. We're in Post Dunwoody and have been very happy with the location and the apartment. I'm pretty sure you can get a two bedroom here in that range. It's also a 2 minute walk to the North Springs MARTA station. Good luck.

Hi, I'm looking to move to the Perimeter area with my husband, and I was wondering if anyone knew of any renovated apartments? We love the Drexel, but it's very pricey. Does anyone know of similar apartments with the same upgraded finishes (stainless steel appliances, hardwood floors, granite countertops, etc) that are less than the Drexel?

Create a new thread and you will receive more responses. Try the Gables (Atlanta*GA Apartment Community - Gables Metropolitan Photo Gallery. Not sure if they have hard wood floors though. I know Savannah Midtown has hardwood floor though (Savannah Midtown Apartments - 215 North Avenue - Atlanta - EquityApartments.com).

Gables Metropolitan phase 3 has granite countertops (but no stainless or hardwood).
