Pretty good story in today's AJC about cities in Gwinnett developing their downtown areas. I see this as a good thing. Duluth and Lawrenceville have done great jobs in redeveloping their downtowns.

Just finished reading it. It is a good story. I'm happy that the smaller towns are investing in their futures in this way. Suwanee, as an example, has done a terrific job.

I can't read it since I'm not a subscriber.

But I do know that Duluth has been very progressive in trying to revitalize downtown. The city knows that what it truly needs is a bar or similar business so the streets don't empty by 9pm. They really want a place people can go and stay downtown during shows at Eddie Owen Presents and have made it clear that they won't make it difficult for anyone who wants to do this to obtain a liquor license.

It would be great to have, but I understand the trepidation...it would take a long time to start making money. You'd have to have time and patience. It will definitely happen some day, though.

That Duluth town green is terrific.

Downtown Lawrenceville has a lot of charm, too.
