I just heard on the news that ridership has increase for the first time in 6 years and that 4 stations have reopened restrooms

This is good news. Perhaps the trains and stations will no longer smell like urine.

I believe it. Rush hour trains are constantly packed. I see a good mix of socio-ecomonic classes represented on the trains.

MARTA to Improve Bus and Rail Service With New Savings | WABE 90.1 FM

The "uptick" in ridership was only in the most recent quarter of their fiscal year.

But what is equally worth noting is they ended the 2013 fiscal year with a $9 million surplus. MARTA is usually in the red, so that really is an accomplishment.

They are also extending hours for the Airport - North Springs line.

That article states we will have some news within the next few weeks about a development for the King Memorial Marta Station!
