"If things get out of hand, next year’s session of the Legislature could become the Battle of Northlake Mall.

We’ve got a land rush going on in DeKalb County that could require the attention of the entire state Capitol. And allow ruling Republicans to reshape Georgia’s most Democratic county..."

Tucker should get Northlake Mall.

And Lakeside? Give it up. It's the one causing all the "overlapping" problems.

I like to see Druid Hills be annexed into COA and Tucker incorporate, taking the Northlake mini-edge city.

What should happen:

Tucker incorporates the entirety of its proposed area
The City of Atlanta annexes the entirety of the Briarcliff and Lakeside (nee Tucker) areas

What probably will happen (because this IS Georgia):
Lakeside and Tucker battle it out in court, no expansion of CoA

So I guess that this means that either Lakeside or Tucker will eventually have more athletic shoe stores per capita than any city in the world.

Yes--Tucker should definitely incorporate .

And--I think CoA should annex Druid Hills and most of the proposed City of Briarcliff. Other parts of the proposed Briarcliff should be annexed by CoD, Avondale Estates, Chamblee, Tucker, and Doraville.

The political complexion (no pun intended) of the city of Atlanta would be changed irrevocably.

Whatever the case, the annexation of large parts of Northwest DeKalb (and many other areas) would be good for the health and stability of the City of Atlanta as a whole.

Areas that should be annexed by CoA:

Northwest DeKalb
Candler-McAfee
Constitution
Gresham Park
Mountain View
Sandtown
Vinings
Riverline
Cliftondale
South Fulton north of Union City/Fairburn
and a few more areas...
