I am traveling to Atlanta but need to get to Suwanee, is there a way to go from Atlanta to Suwanee using public transportation?

Not really.

There are a few GRTA Xpress commuter buses that operate between the Doraville MARTA Station and the Technology Park area of Johns Creek by way of busy GA Hwy 141 (the bus route runs from North Fulton County just across the line into the part of Forsyth County with a Suwanee address on the west side of the Chattahoochee River just above McGinnis Ferry Road), but those routes only run a few times a day and are severely-limited in scope and nature in their focus in primarily moving rush-hour commuters between the hours of 6:30-9:30am in the morning and 4-6:30pm in the evening.

There is no bus service outside of those times and the buses only serve a handful of select stops west of the Chattahoochee River along GA Hwy 141 between Peachtree Corners and the Technology Park area of Johns Creek.

In the area with a Suwanee address east of the Chattahoochee in Gwinnett County there is absolutely no public transit service whatsoever.

Because of the extremely-limited to completely non-existent availability of transit service between Atlanta and the northeastern suburb of Suwanee, your best and virtually only option is either to get to Suwanee by rental car or by hired car (taxi or, preferably private chauffeured limo sedan).
