I am definitely curious to see if living in Atlanta would be better for a single woman than living in DC. I am in DC right now and I absolutely hate it. I'm considering New York since I have friends there but at the same time I feel like it would be the same if I went there as well. For a single woman in her late 20's wanting to settle soon, would it be better for me to move to Atlanta? I know that it works out for the men but would any ladies like to comment on this? Thanks!!

BTW I am working for a large company that has a number of projects suited for me in the Atlanta area that I could go into so my job search really is not a problem. It's more of will I be able to thrive better there.

The marriage rate nationally is at an all time low nationwide. Dating wise, as long as you are out meeting people you should be ok. You have to go out and meet people. You can't expect for prince charming to knock on your door. You can't sit home all weekend either. As long as you are meeting people all the time, going to networking events, join meetup.com, go to happy hours, etc you will be ok.

As far as moving, I recommend that people move wherever they want to. You only live once. If you want to move to Atlanta or Antarctica I say do it. If you do not like it you are free to move to another place.
