Hi! I'm in town for Dragon*Con, and was hoping to get some help with parking. Things are a little too crazy for my usual "drive around until we find a cheap place to park" method to be very effective.

Ideally, I'd like to find cheap parking close to a Dragon*Con shuttle stop. I just realized parking will be even crazier today, since it's Saturday, and the crowd will be even bigger... Would you recommend parking, then taking MARTA in? We'll probably leaving the Con around 1 in the morning, if last night is an indicator of how things will go.

I know I could google all this, but am hoping an experienced someone will jump in & give me some tips.

Thanks for sharing your fair city! I'm only seeing the Dragon*Con area & our drive back & forth on 85 to/from the hotel, but it's been great so far! Oh, We're staying close to the airport, at 85S & Virginia Ave (exit 73), if that's helpful re: parking.

Thanks!

You could take the taxi from your hotel to Marta and then take the train into the city

or

Drive to the Marta station and take the train into the city

Just remember the train stop running at 1am.

There are places you can park for free at on the outskirts of downtown/midtown if you feel like walking a few miles

There are places to park in Midtown. Check around 14th St between Spring St and West Peachtree St and then take the train into downtown

Take the train, parking is marked up to at least 20.00 dollars or more. Place at a Marta station and pay $2.50 each way.

Thanks for the replies. There are 4 of us - I went ahead & paid for a deck for $17, since that worked out to be cheaper than 4 MARTA tix, plus I didn't have to then be constrained by their schedule. I was pleased to see several $5 lots dotted in among the big decks & $20 lots. They were all full by the time we got there yesterday, but I'll try them this morning.
