Are you referring to a bubbler?

i've never heard the latter, but crayfish is common for people especially around the great lakes.

@ sound of reason:

pajamas with the 'jaaah' sound, rolling, icing, yard sale and access road are very southern.

to compare, people from the northeast say pajamas with 'jam', they say papering, they call it frosting, it's a tag sale, not a yard sale, and it's a frontage road.

I think a lot of these accent things are whack.

I'm from NY and yes I do say "pajamas" with "jam", but I don't say papering. I call it T-Ping. Not sure what frosting is in reference to and yeah I do say tag sale sometimes. No clue what a frontage road is but that could be because I never really drive. They call them access roads down here in Atlanta.

"46% Dixie. Barely in Yankeedom."

Not too bad.

Strange, since I was born and raised in NJ. Lived there 33 years.

And one point of contention with this quiz....no true Jerseyan would EVER call a sandwich a "hero". It is a SUB everywhere in Jersey except the far SouthWest near Philly, where it is a "grinder".
No, it's often called a hoagie here.

97% Dixie, baby! They think General Robert E. Lee was my grandfather.

I'm guessing that whole "frontage road/access road" thing ruined my dreams of a perfect score.

They really ought to include a question about that thing we use to put groceries in while shopping. If I hear another person refer to it as a "carriage" I will scream. It's a buggy! lol
