Okay I'm considering new construction in Fairburn, but wanted to avoid the cookie cutter look. Any thoughts and suggestions on quality builders, and how to avoid moving somewhere were all the houses are similar. Is 200,000 enough for new construction, or should I go higher ? I need to be close to the airport, but flexible.

Honestly it seems like anything built new selling from 200-500k looks cookie cutter in Atlanta.

It does seem rare to see "unique" architecture in new construction in the metro area - unless you custom build a home, that is.

You either need to custom build or get a house in an older, 'historic' neighborhood where enough houses have come and gone that you get different styles (a la Morningside, or Home Park)

What would a custom built home cost in Fairburn?

There are plenty of million dollars plus mass produced exurban houses in Georgia. Cost is a factor but not totally. It is more quantity vs. quality.
