Hi everyone - Newly registered here but I've lived in Midtown for a good while. I have a question about 1010. I know there is a thread basically asking the same question, but it's kind of old and didn't get a lot of response so I thought I'd try again. Does anyone here live at 1010 or know someone who does? We are looking at a couple different units there and want to know what it's like to live there. I've spoken with a couple of people randomly walking their dogs but they were renters and didn't seem to have lived there long. I get the impression that it's a fun place and pretty social. People like their cocktails etc. All that's great as I love my wine and going out to dinner but I have an eight year old child and don't want to move to a building that's a constant loud party. Any thoughts? Thanks to everyone who contributes to the site. Great info here!

My wife worked in the 1075 Peachtree. She was able to walk from the building to the Midtown Station and have lunch in Piedmont Park. Its a great location with lots of new development, restaurants, and retail popping up.

Good, desirable building. Price per square foot wise, it is one of the more expensive buildings in town.

I put an offer in on a unit in the winter of 2010 and they are TERRIBLE negotiators. Their counter offer was higher than the original price of the unit. So I ended up walking away. Glad I did because I love the place I live at now more than the units in 1010.

Bought a 2/2 in Fall 2011, couldn't be happier. Fantastic location, the building itself is well maintained, and the immediate area seems to be booming.

Re: general atmosphere of the building: I have not found it to be raucous and have no complaints about noise level etc. There is a good mix of residents and you'll find everything from GT students to retired couples. I've seen several families with young children in the building and my wife and I plan to stay here once we have a child.

The only minor complaint I have re: party atmosphere: on summer weekends the pool is packed from 11am to 8pm. Generally a well-behaved group, but it's not exactly the calm oasis I had in mind.

Did 1010 ever get any kind of greenspace? I remember asking where you could walk a dog when they first started selling as was told the Federal Reserve was the closest place, but they were hoping to get some kind of dog walking area in another phase of 1010. Did that ever happen?

I'm not surprised by the pool being packed because one thing about 1010 is it's HUGE. If it only has one pool, more people are sharing that pool than probably any other building in town.

ATLTJL - I didn't seen any extra green space when we visited - there is some green space on the pool level but not anything specifically for a dog walk.

Correct, there is no area within the building itself where you can walk the dog.
