What a joke. WND is an ultra right wing website, the majority of its stories are conspiracy theories paraded as fact. Thus this piece of ****.

Well, while some of the evidence in the Article is stretched at best, my own observations would tend to support the overall trend toward Detroit. I'm afraid it's going to happen unless the people still here change things, now. Detroit didn't happen overnight, and neither is Atlanta, but Atlanta's bust is coming.

I've heard the demographics are rapidly changing in Atlanta. Is this correct?

This is hilarious. Atlanta is trending harder the other way than it ever has. Reed is a good Mayor, there are new development projects from apartments, to museums, to new businesses locating here, and there has never been a larger influx of college educated workers to the city.

Detroit was built on a single industry, the automotive industry. Atlanta is much more secure than that. Atlanta's not going to bust anytime soon. People come here for business, for jobs, to study. We have one of the world's biggest research universities situated in Atlanta. What's in Detroit? We have several franchises based out of Atlanta. What comes from Detroit apart from the automotive industry? American cars are crap anyway. Atlanta has the world's busiest airport. What does Detroit have? Georgia's population is growing while Michigan's is shrinking. Atlanta continues to grow, while Detroit shrinks.

This article is just radical nonsense. The only thing Detroit and ATL have in common are the black people. And rappers. Crime and grime. All cities have this problem.

ATL>Detroit. Ask anyone in the country.

Atlanta will never be like Detroit because it has a far more diversified economy.

Rofl. The comments are funny and sad at the same time. Sadly, a few of them are true regardless. When blacks move into a neighborhood, things generally trend bad. Look at Rockdale County. Crime has sprung up when blacks moved in.

I don't think Atlanta will ever become Detroit. It's already too big and many whites are still moving here by the droves. Same as blacks. Atlanta is also about to lose it's black majority. I think we will see a white mayor after Reed. Crime is down and has been trending downward. The city is the safest it's been in decades.

Just based on the comments, it's just a circlejerk of ultra-conservative fanatics. This is why people associate conservatism with racism. This is why Obama won in 2012.
