A friend and her husband are considering moving to Atlanta area . They would like to be reasonable driving distance to Emory for work. They really dislike traffic and are hoping for a neighborhood where they wont be in traffic patterns coming or going.
Townhouse or small house ok.
They are caucasian, middle class, grown children.

Budget? Proximity to Emory does not come cheap.

They do not like traffic. I know they have a 2200 sq ft house now.

I dont know their budget. I told her I would ask on the board buy it's obvious she needs to sign in herself or just work with a realtor.

Use the search function, looking for both posts containing "Emory" and "CDC". I'm not trying to be dismissive, but this topic comes up on a near-weakly basis. There is a lot of good information in previous discussions.

Here are a couple rencent ones to get you started:

If you are looking for as close to campus as possible, there are some newer (2002+) townhomes right on the Emory Campus (corner of Clifton and Houstion Mill) Clifton Heights, about 2300 square feet 4+ stories-garage, some have private elevators. Most recent sales look like they are under 300K, but everything for sale seems to be over 300K. If I did not have kids and a large dog, it is where I would look. If your budget is less, there are older condos around campus. Here is one--- 822 Clifton Heights Ln NE # 822, Atlanta, GA 30329 - Zillow
