There are some people who think flasing your lights to other drivers means your are warning them of police coming up.

It sounded as if this wasn't the first time cops had wasted his time with bogus headlight tickets for flashing high beams near speed traps.

To all those in Cobb, I would agree completely that it is a very prudent step to go to court and discuss the ticket with the Solicitor at arraignment. From what I saw they will plea bargain it down and you can end up with a lesser charge and lower fine.
glad to hear it worked out for ya.....

With municipal budgets tight, this seems to be their latest fund raiser, failure to dim lights soon enough. Here in NH, it appears the police may own stock in the driving schools as that is what the option is if you don't want to pay the fine.

Yes, if at all possible, I always go to court to explain things. You almost always end up paying half or less of what you would be paying over the phone. I was pulled over a while back for an expired and out of state tag. I knew it was expired, I just did not have the time to go take my car through emmitions and then go wait for two hours to register it in GA at the time (work was crazy busy for me). I ended up taking care of everything before my court date and paid all of 35 bucks which was the minimum for an expired tag (I showed the lady my new regeatration). Had I paid over the phone it would have been 230 bucks. I also encourage everyone to go to court for traffic citations.

I hope it cost you a lot, and for a long time, simply for you purposely and admittedly interfering in police business. Our tax money pays him to enforce laws. Taxpayers don't need law breakers like you, banding together to defeat the law.
