We recently moved to Dunwoody Area and are looking for private schools in and around this area(Dunwoody, Sandy Springs, Perimeter) that are good academically and well diversified. The admission is for pre-k for next school year (2013) for our daughter. I would like for schools with tuition fees in the range of 15k/year. I am not very convinced of Montessori schools yet and would prefer traditional private schools.

If this area (Dunwoody) does not have much options, we are willing to relocate to Johns Creek or Alpharetta area that may offer more choices.

Please help me with any information you can share that will assist me in making informed decision regarding choosing a school.

My family and I are wanting to relocate to the Alpharetta area probably early next year. I'm in Phoenix now but grew up just west of Atlanta (I miss my home). I'm pretty heavy into research and found that the schools in the Alpharetta area are top notch..probably some of the best in the country. You could go to greatschools.org and do some research. Some people poo-poo the data that's on that site but given the people I've physically talked to (including teachers) and comparing that to the data on greatschools.org....it's basically the same.

Thanks, but we prefer the suburbs and may not be interested in Buckhead yet.
