I guess our question is what is the best area in Cobb County for a family with two children under 2 to move? We are relocating to Cobb County from Florida for my husband job. He will be driving to different stores in the Cobb County area. We need somewhere close to the highways and kid friendly area. Not sure of the cities yet. We were looking to rent a house 3/2 in Marietta, Kennesaw, Smyrna,or powder springs. Our budget for rent is under $900 a month. Would love to live around parks, malls, or fun activities for the kids since I'm a stay at home mom. If you have any suggestions as to a good safe area please post.

Thanks!!

Your budget is quite low for renting a house. I would typically say that you won't find much for less than $1200 per month.

For affordability, I would start your look in Mableton or Smyrna or try further north in Acworth. You will likely find an older home that has not necessarily been updated.

Agreed on the budget. The stretch from Smyrna to Kennesaw might be your best bet for searches. Do a forum search using the search feature on Kennesaw - that area might fit your needs.

Check on social serve or zillow. I am looking as well and have found some houses in that price range.
