Ok, don't seem to be much else going on in the area, so let's add a little fun as to our favorite childhood games. If you were like me, you had to makeup the games for entertainment. Games like kick the can, baseball with the ball made out of socks, and the like. What's was your favorite?

Speeding down my best friend's steep driveway in a big wheel with the mean twin boys that lived up the street to see who could have the longest skid. I'm amazed that we survived it, but it was a blast! We never named that game. I guess "Death by Plastic" might have been a good one.

BTW, we girls usually got the longest skid... .must be some physics behind that.

In the U.K. we would follow whatever sport was going on, so tennis in the street during Wimbledon, cricket in the street during the test match season, football the rest of the time, then sneaking into the gardens to get the ball back.

"Mother-May-I?" until the street lights came on and then we all had to go in (without even calling home first on our cell-phones!)

In Acworth we played Ditch'em, kind of a team hide n seek with a jail if you got caught. A teammate could come get you out.

But the game we probably played most was wiffle ball, so we wouldn't put out a neighbors window. However, we used electrical tape to cover the ball so it would go farther.

We used to call this "Tally Ho".

We played Four corners kick ball. Each street corner was a base.Lucky for us the subdivision was set up in a grid pattern, not a cul-de-sac!
