Just wondering. What are the top reasons today's sellers are giving for leaving their current homes in the Atlanta area?

Thank you.

Almost without exception, transfers out of area and upgading to a new home with the market being a buyer's market...

Thanks, Moving123.

I've been curious since reading an article on this topic in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Excerpt follows.

Survey: Shorter commute is main reason for moving

It wasn't the schools. It wasn't the lousy boss. It wasn't even nearness to family or size of the house. In a new survey of 4,000 metro Atlantans, of those who changed residences or jobs last year, the top reason was the commute.

Three-quarters of people who moved or changed jobs said ease of commuting was equal to or more important than other factors in the decision to make the change.

Note: The poll above is set to accept multiple choices, so you can enter your top three!

I probably should have asked for your general sales territories as well (Midtown, Buckhead, North/South Suburbs, etc.). Especially regarding sellers' moves due to commuting issues, that would be a factor. Feel free to volunteer those with any replies.
