Yeah, they're a big ego-stroke, but in this case they fill two nights on the Civic Center's calendar, which means a lot of people will get to go to work those nights. And not just Civic Center employees. You'll have formal wear designers/rentals, limo services, hotels, restaurants, photographers, entertainment journalists, etc. working who otherwise might not be doing very much on those two nights.

Any way you look at it, that's called a WIN for our city.
