A friend of mine has lived on East Confederate just west of Moreland for 30 years (I think it's the boundary between Ormewood Park and Woodland Hills?), and it seems like a fairly safe area. Many of the houses are kit bungalow-style homes from the early 1900's.

Since I don't live there, I'm just relaying the impression I've gotten from her.

Ormewood Park and Whittier Mill are both great places. I was just wondering why the article didn't include more working-class areas.

Agreed. But according to some of the other posters here, all of the intown neighborhoods are perfectly safe.
