Any thoughts about this and how North Carolina is already perceived as being more progressive in many ways than Georgia?

Delete Post….DNC can be held in any city just like the Super Bowl, All Star Game, etc. This doesn't have anything to do with Atlanta

UH ... did Atlanta even bid to host the 2012 DNC? Don't think so. But Atlanta did host the 1988 DNC. That puts Charlotte 24 years behind Atlanta. Sounds about right, doesn't it?

Ugm, excuse me...I already know that. However, people have already expressed their thoughts on here about how progressive North Carolina seems to have been recently versus Georgia, which seems to be going the opposite direction. I just wanted to gather people's thoughts about this whole selection.

To me, Charlotte's selection to host the DNC seems to be symbolic of that city and the state becoming more progressive in contrast to Georgia. I know that the city of Atlanta is perceived as being pretty progressive. However, it is still in the state of Georgia.

That was then...this is now. Some would argue that Atlanta was more progressive at that time than now.

^^^^ No .... it's not. Atlanta hosted the DNC 24 years ago; it took Charlotte 24 years to catch up. You're just trolling dude. Quit.

Are you serious?

Dude, you do realize that the last time San Francisco held the DNC was 1984, right? I guess by that metric both Atlanta and Charlotte are more progressive than San Fran.

And there all more progressive than Miami (1972), Philly (1948), etc...you get how much of a silly argument you are making right?
