Nice News Tony and I would like to give a Thank-you for always posting such positive news about ATL amongst all of the negativity that happens way too much on this forum. Your posts have always been a joy

Very nice that Atlanta is on the list because honestly D.C. just has government jobs here right now holding us up. With the diversity that ATL has in terms of jobs I'm very proud that ATL is one of the top cities and can't wait to see what economic future awaits the city

I hope this is true, but I've also seen other lists that show ATL was hit hard and is just behind LA as far as lack of jobs are concerned...so who knows.

It's amazing that Atlanta is #6. I thought Dallas/Houston would have more jobs. Atlanta is the only city in the south on this list. I see great things continuing to happen in the great city of Atlanta

careercast.com? Never heard of them, and I don't believe this ranking for one second.

The map above shows the metros with the biggest projected gains in total employment out to 2018. New York is projected to add 578,974 jobs, the most in the country. It is followed by Los Angeles (405,392), Chicago (344,740), Washington, D.C. (261,465), Atlanta (235,036), Houston (232,001), Philadelphia (202,970), Dallas (203,202), Phoenix (191,210), and Boston (186,457).
But job growth is a function of population size; it's expected that large regions will dominate the list of the biggest job generators.
