Ok. I am tired of the RE Market in Atlanta. I am looking for a position as a Sales Representative in Pharma or Consumer Products. Need a career change. People say you have to no someone and all that good stuff. Can someone here shed some light on where the Sales Jobs are and how to get one? I appreciate you! Have an awesome day!

The best thing to do is spiff up your resume and start sending it out. Include on the resume that you are looking for a "career change" so they will understand that you understand your history doesn't match what they are looking for. Mail the resumes whenever possible because the emailed ones sometimes get too full and are just deleted or never printed and they don't get to the right person. Make follow-up phone calls and try to get the name of the person who will actually be making the decision not just the person collecting resumes. It is ok to be a little pushy because you are going after a sales job after all. It does help to know someone but you can start by getting to know some HR people on the phone. Also send resumes to everyone but do your research and target companies that have entry level positions listed and companies that you WANT to work for. Think about the jobs available "under" the outside sales jobs as well. Inside sales can often be a stepping stone to a good "outside" job if you don't know anyone in the business.

Hey how are you doing i am in BIG phama sales. I am getting tired of where i live and i am trying to move to ATL as soon as possible. But if you were in real estate sales you have a sales background. Which is a plus! Next you have to have an undergrad degree, it does not matter where or what in but just have ONE. Lastly the personality the look for in sales, you know somebody that has the "gift of gab". Now for pharma the only way to apply is online, and submit your resume there.

List of pharmaceutical companies - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I put up a link with the companies. So just go to there website and they all will have search job opportunities. So start searching. Also a good site i used in indeed.com but most of the companies you have to apply online.

So if you need help or have any more questions you can PM me.
