When winds are out of the east College Park train station parking. Also bouldercrest Park is another good area when winds are from the west. Camp Creek Marketplace LA Fitness parking lot is a good locations when winds are out of the east. Also the south terminal parking deck provide a real up close view.

There's a cellphone lot on the south side of Terminal Pkwy. which looks right over the south taxiways and runways.
Map ...it's the little long sliver of parking
Street View ...it's changed since the street view imagery was taken. There's now an entrance at this spot.

If so - if you go to the Thai Heaven restaurant on the corner of Virginian and Norman Berry Drive ( a couple of blocks up from the hotel) their porch should give you a decent view.
