Is anyone here employed at Emory? If so, how long did the hiring process take for you? I have completed all the interviews and I was told to expect an offer. I've been waiting about a week. I know that large institutions such as Emory sometimes have a lot of hoops to jump through so I'm wondering is this normal? How long did you wait between the interview and offer letter? I know that my references have been checked and I'm about 99% sure they all said great things so I'm not sure what the hold is but I'm getting anxious.

I guess it depends on what you are applying for, what job and which institution, the Uni or the hospital? Jeez, give us something to answer.

^What Ranger Jack said.

Healthcare or University? Are you a nurse? Will you be working in research? If you were given an actual "verbal offer" I say just try to be more patient about it. If there hasn't been any movement after a week, with a verbal offer, I think it's okay to call your contact and inquire. Unless they were specific about the timing you were to expect to hear back from them.
