I'll be relocating to Canton towards the end of September, and I've come across a few apartment complexes in the area (Heritage at Riverstone, Riverview, Alexander, etc.). Are there any that I should definitely stay away from? I don't need anything "luxury," but just decent and safe with basic amenities and reasonable rents for a one bedroom. Thanks in advance for your help!

Sorry, don't know about any of those.

BUT, knowing you from the forum, you just might want to check these out. A mile from Downtown on the river, and just minutes from I-575. Could be a perfect match for you!
Canton Mill Lofts

Good luck, and welcome!

Thanks. I look forward to becoming a Georgian.

Canton Mill Lofts was actually my first choice, but they are income-restricted, section 42 to be precise. Too bad, because living in a renovated mill would be cool. The others I mentioned seem to be good options though.

Sorry, I had no idea! I've never even heard of section 42. Just knowing you from the forum, I thought of them in particular thinking they would be a good fit.

And again, welcome! It's very beautiful out there.

Thanks man, I'm looking forward to the move. Looks to be a few nice complexes out there, and I'll scout them out personally before making a final decision. I hear good things about Canton so that's reassuring.

I lived at CML's when they opened in 2000, and really loved it. They did a great job with the conversion......and those windows were HUGE! I even tried to move back there after graduating my technical school, but by then I was making over twice as much money, and was over the income limit. Canton has gone from pure country to suburban Atlanta in only a couple decades..........unbelievable that place looks the way it does now. Anyway, good luck on your search, OP.
