Of course their martial arts would be waay waay more potent because they had sharpened it and refined it so many times.

Japan, not so much; when compared to Israeli or Filipino Martial Arts.
The Japanese spent centuries in civil wars. In any case what does marital arts have to do with war fighting. most of the infantry just bashed each other with whatever they still had in hand. From a shovel to a rock. While they were squaring off to use a martial arts that soldiers friend shot him.

Brazilian Jujitsu is the best. 90% of all street fights go to the ground (or so I've heard).

Asian Jungle ambush & guerilla warfare tactics, the same type of fighting used against US forces & French forces in Indochina / SEA

a much smaller fighting force fighting a much larger enemy

a typical guerilla fighter isnt much to look at standing around 5 ft 5" with a wirey build like a high school wrestler and weighing maybe 125 lbs, but as a fighting force they were very effective

I think Indian martial arts were deadly ....till they were outlawed and lost. What remains today are mere remnants of lost techniques.
