Didn't think there was such a critter, did ya?

Well there is....

Friend of mine's wife gets this magazine:

Arkansas Home Building, Interior Design, Shopping, Architecture, Recipes, Art, Entertaining, and Culture - At Home Arkansas

It's got a lot of pretty pictures of peoples houses, diverse articles for the "upscale" female, and lots of ads for higher end restaurants, clubs, and bars.

I post this because we've had a few people in here bemoaning the absence of Neiman-Marcus, so...if ya got the bucks, you can sure find a place to spend them, right *here* in good ol' Arkansas.

Yeah, I agree.

For those folks that think it's all back-woods in this state, they would be well served to take a look.

For those who come into the state and wish to live the lifestyle, it's a good directory with all the advertising in there.

Besides.....the pitchers are real purty.

Anybody who hasn't seen those HUGE mcmansion subidivisions going up around the Rogers - Springdale area aren't paying attention. Yes, there is totally an "upscale" Arkansas - but most of the people who could be described in those terms are moving there from somewhere else. There aren't many indigenous upscale Arkies out there. I don't think.

If I sell enough timber, I'm gonna get indoor plumbin', Dan.

Then I won't have to recycle the magazine pages no more.

That kinda sounded like a dig against Arkansas IMO.

The richest people in the state are the one who don't look or act like they have money. The old farmer with cow poop on his boots just might be a millionaire.
