Thanks! These would have been better but my "good" camera hasn't worked properly for about a year and I was stuck taking these on my little Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-W120. It's a good camera for people shots but not great for scenery. I was also about a week early for the really great fall colors, but with the way trees have just been turning brown instead of pretty colors in this neck of the woods this year, I thought I had better take a shot while I had it!

Thanks, RTTNFAM, great pics! I especially love shots of dirt roads that disappear into woods. I've been up on HN Mountain and seen that view myself!

It's hard for us amateurs to capture the fall color on camera....if y'all want to see some good pictures of this year's fall color, go to Tim Ernst's web site and read his Cloudland journal. You'll have to go to the archives to see some of them, as he's already archived October.

LOL tell me about it! I love taking photos, I just haven't gotten good at it yet! I will have to check out that website. My mom and I took a drive around the Glenwood area today and I think I got a few good shots, but haven't uploaded them yet, so I am not sure how they turned out...I can't tell anything on my little LCD.

I want to thank you so much for recommending that site! That guy really captures the beauty of Arkansas that so many people are unaware of.

Oh yeah, and his books are great, too....some are just picture books, and some are guides....waterfall guide, hiking trails guide, nature guide, etc. We have several of the guides and my son has found some really neat places with them!
