Hi,

I'm planning to visit Hot Springs and Hot Springs Village on Oct 27, 21021. Can anybody from Hot Springs help to update me how is the foliage now or before Oct 23? According to Fall Foliage Vacations - Fall Colors Tour - Arkansas Fall Foliage the color has 25% changed. Just wonder Oct 27 will too early? It is long way drive from Houston so preferable to see at least 50% but the report will only be updated on Oct 25 which might be late for the planning (booking hotel etc). I couldn't make it on Nov 3. Thanks in advance.

I'm in the River Valley, considerably north of HS - and we are not having the foliage yet. I've been in NWA this week and there isn't the spectacular change there either. We're kind of in a warm spell and first frost hasn't hit. Unfortunately, I think you will be very early on the change this year.

Addendum - we are losing more leaves than are changing - they are falling like flies from, I guess, the drought this year.

I don't know about Hot Springs or the village, but we saw a huge change just in 24 hours last weekend. we were driving from NWA to Branson, near Eureka Springs. It was breath taking...Coming back, from Mo it was as pretty (that was Thurs) but our camera broke: crap!!! now, with the wind, most of what we have here has blown off. I don't think we will get much more. What we do still have is great, just not like the last few years//

According to the news reports here, the fall foliage is quite nice. This area is quite pretty regardless.

I'm in HSV, it was definately a quick start. A week from now might be good timing.

Wow, I'm jealous. The area around Russellville to I-540 doesn't have much to show for itself, or at least I don't think so and I was up and down the highway several times last week. I thought I-540 to Springdale was pretty, but not yet at it's peak...HS must be on the lucky end if y'all are having a really good show. I just figured the further south, the less change. Well, enjoy! Post some pictures!

I was thinking the same thing: here, in NWA we have had so much wind the past few days, off and on, many of our trees are 75% bare or close. I just think we are not going to have a good fall..Of course temps back in the 80s probably isn't helping...

We've also had some wind the last few days, not looking as good...
