My husband and I are in love with Cherokee Village, but my question is this... Is it family friendly? I keep reading about it being a retirement com. but what about a family looking to find a quiet, safe place to move? How are the jobs out there?

Hi, we live in Cherokee village and we have seen families with kids and there are schools in the local area. Kids seem to really enjoy it here in the summer with all the water sports that are available. Jobs are available it just depends on what type you are looking for...... Ypu may want to come and visit and see for yourself....

Very Family Friendly
We have lived in Cherokee Village for 6 years and love it here. C.V. is part of the quad cities of Highland, Ash Flat, and Hardy. Highland has a great school system, and there are always activities going on that are family friendly. Jobs are pretty much service based. Real estate is still very reasonable. It has the feel of a blue collar retirement area, but more families are moving here all the time. If you have any other questions, ask away.

I sure agree with Royearl that Cherokee Village is a "diamond in the rough" --- and getting more polished up every day. It's great for families in terms of recreation and welcome. There no question about "taking a look for yourself." This is a place with a great future, wonderful history, and solid present. The only drawback is around employment, but I bet that will change too. Nice people. Come see!

just dont try and put your boat in the water on lake thunderbird...if you dont live there..angry men with bull horns will yell at you to get of the lake..even if the man at the launch ramp said it was okay...

Did you have some problems in Cherokee Village ?? Is that why you moved to Crowleys Ridge ?
