Hello my arizonians,
I am not trying to debate anything here. I dont like them, i think they are stupid, but here is my question...

Do ALL of them actually work? Don't they have to be charged in order for them to work? I've never seen anyone physically go out there and charge them. My husband and I were driving home from Shoppin' and he had asked this same question.. of course i couldn't answer him as I have no idea the answer. Does anyone know the answer?
They are in the same spot that they have alwayz been.. They don't move. Hmmm... hmmmmm....

Just curious as to how they run.....

Thanks for your answer's and for reading this dorkey post!!!

Lovin' surprise

Are you talking about the actual CARS used in photo enforcement zones? Well, as we know from history, there are people sitting in some of them, one of which was killed by some idiot. And, I've driven by them occasionally in the cities with someone outside the car setting up or whatever. Just because you haven't seen any people there, doesn't mean there never are any.

What do you mean by "charging" them? It isn't as if they are running off a car battery.

I've never ridden past one and not had my radar detector chirp. Doesn't matter where they're occupied or not. They work.

Yeah the actual cars in the photo enforcement zones.. I never see anyone in them.. they are alwayz empty when we drive by..I'm not saying that there is no one in them, i'm just saying I dont ever see anyone. they alwayz look empty to me.. LOL I'm not saying they don't work.. i was just curious as, how they operate if no one is in them.. don't they charge off the battery? I was talking about the one's on I-10 going towards buckeye! LOL i dont go downtown that often to notice those ones. I just notice the ones on I-10.

The cameras are not running off the car battery. And, just because you don't see anyone in there (as you are driving by at freeway speed), don't assume there's no one there.

Most of the time the cars are unoccupied, for saftey reasons.

If they don't run off the car battery, how do they work? They need some sort of power for the flash.

Around here they are rarely parked for more than a few hours so running off a battery (either a separate system or the vehicle's heavy duty battery) shouldn't be a problem.

I figure they have an extra battery in the trunk, I had to do that with my audio system in my car due to the power load needed.
