Where is Randolph? I did a search and nothing comes up - no google or MLS listings. I only could pull up an African-American quilt site for Randolph, Arizona....maybe I need to widen my criteria (not restricted to warm and beauty during the winter)

You might also check into Bullhead City. Here we are on the border of Arizona/Nevada/California and only separated by the BEAUTIFUL Colorado River. Across the river is Laughlin, Nevada. We have 9 casinos right on the river. If you don't care for the river, we also have Lake Mohave. Although it is VERY HOT here in the summer time, it is BEAUTIFUL in the winter. It's usually in the 50's, of course there are the exceptions where we might fall down into the 30's/40's for a brief period, but very RARELY any ice and no snow.
This place is perfect for retirees! There are ALOT of reitred folks here year round, and a WHOLE LOT MORE during the winter months. They are what we call Snowbirds. They all migrate here for the winter from all over the country; Especially from Minnesota (you'll be right at home ) Washington, Colorado, Oregon etc.
Unlike other parts of Arizona, you can still pick up pretty decent deals on some real estate. It's not really CHEAP anymore, as the Californians have moved in, like everywhere else, and have driven up property values, which isn't always a bad thing.
Unless things have recently changed, there should still be fairly reasonable flights from Minneapolis to Bullhead. Maybe you could check it out sometime!
Here is a couple of links you can check out.

Good luck to you!

Bullhead? After reading the threads on Bullhead describing the bugs, incredible bad weather, meth problem, people expressing their desire to leave out of there as soon as possible, etc......I will have to pass on that location - thanks.

Yuma is a very popular for second homes, lots of activities for seniors and nice weather. Yuma has grown tremendously in last few years and we have a new shopping mall that is huge,,,many major department stores and restaurants.

Think about Tubac. It is 45 min. from Tucson and 3 hours to Phoenix and 15 min. to Mexico. You get a better bang for your buck if you go south about 5 min. to Rio Rico and if you are adventurous... The east side has some amazing properties nestled in the mountains.

Tubac has an historic art village and is growing like crazy. There will also be another 18 hole Gary Player golf resort built on the east side of Tubac. 1500 new homes (pricey). It still has a way to go to develop some good shopping (besides the arts) and food. But it is a great time to get in before it gets too hot.

Another place in Arizona I liked (but still crowded and pricey) is Fountain Hills near Scottsdale. It is pretty though.

Patagonia is amazing. That is remote but it will be a popular place in the future - I think. I always follow where the artists go. They always find the best places first. They understand beauty and will discover these places because they're usually looking for cheaper but awesome.

Case and point... Soho in NYC, Santa Fe, NM., Tubac, AZ.
