We are thinking about retirement in about 5 years, and looking for a location. We would like a place that offers good outdoor opportunities, climate a little milder than Colorado front range, good amenities and the ability to build a sustainable house, which requires plenty of Sun. We are considering the high desert of central Oregon, but should we be considering Flagstaff, or surrounding areas?

We also looked at the Front Range area and did not want to deal with the Winters. We found Sedona to be just perfect. At about 4500 feet we have 4 relatively mild seasons and plenty of sunshine!
