I've looked up information about the lakes several times, but have never been to any of them in person. To be honest, I'm actually quite surprised that none of them are really all that far from each other.

I did just look up what roads are open in the White Mountains during the winter months, and it really depends on how much snow falls on the region. The higher elevation roads are without a doubt closed due to heavy snow and ice. Lower elevation roads remain open, as there isn't as much snow or ice causing any road hazards.

While I do prefer it to be hot out, I nonetheless would like to see what the weather is like up in the White Mountains not only during the summer, but also during the winter. Should I decide to travel to those four lakes that I mentioned in the winter, I'll have to make sure to know how to drive a snowmobile.
