Great picture. It looks like a wasteland, dark and depressing, perfect capture for what Phoenix is today.

I posted this in the "Monsoon Log" thread, but I thought I'd post it again here. It was taken last Saturday at Phoenix Sky Harbor Terminal 4:

That's an awesome shot. Too bad about the reflections in the window. I would probably clone them out.

Interesting you see the picture that way, because that certainly isn't how I felt while taking it, and that certainly wasn't the feeling I was going for while editing it.

Having never been too far from Sky Harbor, I won't claim to know how Phoenix actually is, but to me, the photograph isn't dark or depressing, but beautiful and luminous, with a definite hazy, dreamlike quality. Which is why I have actually entitled it "Desert Dreams".

Actually AzDesertRat86's post says more about AzDesertRat86 (and his/her frame of mind) than it does about your photo (which is beautiful by the way).

Actually, I haven't figured out how to do that yet. If I have some spare time I'll try to figure that out.
At first I was trying to find ways to incorporate the glare/reflections into the photographs, but I didn't like the results....

This looks amazing. The glare is hardly noticeable.

You hit the nail on the head. The image is amazing, but my perception is depressing. I wish I never had to go into Phoenix ever again. If I had it my way, I would never see another stop light again in my life.

Well I have to say "lots of luck" in the "never seeing another stop light" thing - but I understand where you are coming from. Personally, I'm looking forward to living in a smaller community (Benson) myself.
